Gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) people can feel alone and isolated when becoming aware of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

They may live in a country or community where GLBT activity is illegal, or be worried about religious teachings. They may be scared of being rejected by their family and friends.

Sometimes it seems that there is nobody to talk to.

Trained Befrienders offer a service that is completely confidential. You don't have to give your name - you can remain anonymous. Everything you say will remain completely confidential.

A befriender will not judge you or tell you what to do. But a befriender will listen to you.
